Diets

There is huge importance in understanding how our diets and what, how much and how often we eat has such an enormous effect on our physical and mental state.

Welcome to this website where we look at how a person's diet literally shapes their physical and mental health, along with their body size, shape, ability to cope with disease and the internal aging process.

So few people really know how the food they eat and how often they eat it has such a profound effect on every aspect of their lives.

It pays to get educated and go deep into figuring out and truly understanding what happens to the body when certain foods are consumed and when.

Learn How Food Affects You

There is far more to the commonly held notion that a person's weight is decided only by the amount of calories they consume and burn each day.

Food is the fuel that our bodies use to provide energy, build new tissue, repair damaged tissue, strengthen our defences to repel invading microbes that might trigger disease and generally keep us alive.

So often we hear the analogy of putting food into the body being likened to a car and how putting the wrong fuel in the tank can damage the engine, but despite its overuse, it's a good one!

The body is a finely tuned miracle of organic engineering that requires certain fuels to work effectively. Yet our modern Western diets are made up of far too many food products that appear designed to damage that marvellous engine, degrade its performance and cause it to require man-made medications to keep it running.

This surely cannot be right!

Food should be eaten to promote good health, not destroy it!

There is plenty of good diet advice that can be researched by everyone thanks to the marvel that is the Internet. So why are so many people, like in the billions, still ignorant about what food is and what it is supposed to do?

The first line of awareness seems to be focused on people's weight and body shape. This is doubtless due to the modern affliction of obesity spreading throughout society and people's fears about the poor state of health and curtailed lifespan that is looming unless they lose weight.

So let's start by looking at what types of diet are available to at least help people start on the road to better health by losing some or all of the excess weight that is literally weighing them down.

Food and Weight

food and weightWhen you are actively working away at trying to research possible diet solutions to a weight problem, reading reviews about the various products is always a good idea.

This is a great way to give yourself plenty of information on which to base your final decision on whether you should sign up or not. If you have chosen a certain diet program as you preferred choice of weight loss diet strategy, then it's easier to whittle down the reviews to which are best to tell you what you need to know.

You may wonder if any one particular diet review is any better than another and in some cases this is true. Most reviews tend to echo the promotional material produced by the company and usually can be discounted as they will only harp on about the great points of the diets.

Diet Reviews

There are many reviews that you'll find online that are even blatant copies of other reviews, which is irritating as it means literally reading the same review twice on two separate websites.

The best reviews will tell you about the good and the bad parts of the diets, highlighting areas that lesser reviews will deliberately gloss over in order to try and get you to buy or sign up on the spot.

Good reviews will provide you with as much evidence of bad publicity as it will of good publicity and will often include a collection of genuine customer comments and reviews of their actual experiences with the diet program.

So read carefully and make notes that you can refer back to later on. If one particular review comes across as unbiased and seems to tell it like it is without being derogatory, complaining or overly praising and glorifying, then you have probably found a very good review.

Then you can take what it tells you as being more useful to you than the rest and make a better decision on whether it is the right diet program for you.

Go Beyond Weight Loss

Of course there is much more to eating a good diet than just reducing the amount of that the body is holding onto.

The emphasis these days seems to be on replacing one unhealthy way of eating with another that comes with fewer calories and that will make everything right. Unfortunately, the truth is that it will not.

Until consumers become aware that the bulk of the food they buy in the stores is not even real food, but instead processed food products, they will never "get it!"

Eat Natural Food

The body requires food in its natural state, the way nature makes it to run efficiently and attain optimal health.

This is the kind of food that comes straight out of the ground before the big food processing companies get hold of it and transform it into a product. Freshly harvested, organically grown vegetable crops along with naturally raised farm animals that graze outside and eat what nature intended them to eat are what can best be described as "real food."

This is the right fuel for the body, whether you choose to eat only a plant-based diet or include animal products. That's your choice and you can be healthy either way.

The other side of the "dieting right" coin is another really simple caveat, which is this:

"Eat only when you're hungry."

There is no need to follow the almost universally accepted myth that we need to eat three square meals a day, or that we need to eat frequently to stave off hunger and maintain stable blood sugar levels. This is not the truth!

Natural Fasting

Our bodies are designed to manage times of plenty and times of scarcity. They cope surprisingly well with going far longer periods without food than we have become artificially accustomed to.

We are supposed to only feel hungry when our tank is truly empty. That happens when we have completely digested the last meal we ate and there is literally no more food lingering anywhere in our digestive tract.

For that to happen, several hours need to have passed since we last consumed any food. That's because this is how long it normally takes to completely process the food we have eaten.

This allows our blood sugar to normalize and our insulin levels to drop to resting levels. In this state, our bodies can then carry out the repair and rejuvenation program it is equipped with, which cannot become activated until we have finished the digestion program.

It's almost crazy simple, but when you stop feeding your body with processed, artificially flavored and preserved products every five minutes and instead start feeding it fresh, natural foods only when it tells you by experiencing real hunger, your health will improve in great leaps.

Summary

A natural diet of fresh foods is absolutely the way to good health, a lighter, fitter and better looking body and a stable, happy disposition.

By rejecting all store-bought, processed food products and eating a healthy diet of natural foods, your body can return to its natural state of good health as it should be. Then there will be no more need to rely on special, commercial diet programs or take pills and potions.

They human body is designed for natural health, vitality and longevity as long as it is provided with the correct fuel. Remember that simple truth and everything else falls away because it is unnecessary.
